The first question from our guests planning a Balkan tour is always the same: “How many days, which countries, how much?” In the last two seasons, more than half of the sales approved at Holitera were for Balkan tours. In this article, I explain how to choose the route that suits you based on that experience.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia, and Kosovo are visa-free for Turkish citizens. A passport valid for at least 6 months from the return date is sufficient. If the route includes Croatia or Slovenia, a Schengen visa is required; we have marked these tours on the site with the “Schengen Visa Required” label.
Ideal for those with limited budgets and those visiting the Balkans for the first time. Sarajevo, Mostar, and the Montenegrin coast are generally included in the program. You can review Short Balkan Tours along with holiday and weekend dates.
For those who want to see 5 to 9 countries in one go. The price per night drops significantly here; therefore, long tours are generally more advantageous. We have compiled the programs with the best price-per-night rates on the Price / Performance Tours page.
We have Balkan tours departing from Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Adana, and Gaziantep, in addition to Istanbul. Departing directly from your own city without making connections saves both ticket costs and time. All departure options are available on the Balkan Tours page.
When comparing programs, look not only at the total price but also at whether extra tours are included. An extra tour added later may seem cheap at first glance but could end up being more expensive overall.
For those joining alone or tired of large group tours, we offer boutique programs such as Visa-Free Balkans with Fast Travelers. All-inclusive tours, small groups, and an intimate atmosphere.
The most popular period is between April and October. New Year and semester break tours have also gained significant demand in recent years.
Yes. On tours where room sharing is possible, you can join without paying a single-room supplement; this is specified on the tour page.
If you have chosen the Balkan route that suits you, reserve your spot today. For any questions, you can write to our WhatsApp line or call 0543 203 12 96. At reservation, you pay only 25% of the tour fee.
