When To Take An Egypt Tour? Seasonal Guide For Cairo, Luxor And The Red Sea

When choosing a program in Egypt, the season is more important than the route. There is a significant difference between a temple tour in Luxor in July and one in November. I am sharing our experience gained from tours with our guests.

Best period: October-April

In Cairo and Luxor, daytime temperatures are around 20-28 degrees. The Pyramids, the Egyptian Museum, and Karnak Temple can be visited comfortably. On the Red Sea side, the sea is still warm enough for swimming.

Egypt in Summer

Cairo and Luxor are very hot during June-August. During this period, we recommend programs that focus on Sharm El Sheikh or Hurghada and schedule cultural tours for the morning hours.
